Q: How do I know if my company is being awarded an AED?

A: If you have been selected, you will receive an email on the first day of the month after you applied to let you know you have been awarded the AED.

Q: How long will my application be eligible for consideration?

A: Your application will be eligible for consideration for the month you have applied for. Because of the large number of applicants, you may not be selected the first time you apply. You may apply again the next month if you are not chosen.

Q: How do you pick who will be awarded the AED?

A: In an effort to keep the awarding process fair, your application will go through a grading scale process. The process takes into consideration factors including but not limited to need for AED, financial inability to secure an AED, individuals/community the organization serves, and your ability to continue to support the AED. 

Q: How often does an AED get awarded?

A: AEDs are awarded based upon need and product availability.

Q: What kind of AED will be awarded?

A: The AED awarded will be determined based upon product availability. All AEDs in the AED donation program are recertified AEDs.
